The event “YOUTH PARTICIPATION – How to foster youth participation in local communities?” will highlight the importance of youth participation for the development of local communities, showing approaches and funding opportunities available. It is a follow-up event of the “Getting more children and young people participating in the workings of democracy: success stories” event, organized by DG JUSTICE and EACEA during the EU Week of Regions and Cities.

Round table with showcases (City council of Altea, Spain – project VOLUNTEU: Volunteering citizens as a response to social COVID19 crisis; JINT, Belgium – Europe goes local; Municipality of Idrija, Slovenia – project Governance and Youth in the Alps).
10.40 – 11. 20 How can we work together? Approaches and funding opportunities to foster youth participation on a local level.
We will work together to find new ideas, synergies between existing local initiatives, ways of funding new ideas, and ways to capitalize results of past work.
11.20 – 11.30 Final findings
The debate will be moderated by CERV točka, Slovenian national contact point of programme CERV.
